Updated as on Oct 09, 2019. TISS-NET Exam 2020 is a computer based National Entrance Test for MA programmes of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). TISSNET 2020 exam is to be held on Jan 04, 2020. The exam will be held from 2 PM to 3.40 PM in around 39 centres across the country. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conducts TISS National Entrance Test (TISS-NET) for admission to about 55 of its Programs. TISS has 21 schools and 45 centres offering variety of programmes. TISS has 5 campuses: Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Chennai Campus.

TISS Mumbai final placements 2019 Out : Average salary crosses INR 20 Lac per annum
Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai released final placement for the 2017-19 batch of postgraduate programme in human resource management and labour relations (HM & LR). According to the final placement report, the average salary crossed INR 20 Lac per annum for the first time in the history of the college. The average salary for the batch is Rs 20.06 lpa while the median salary is Rs 20.05 lpa salary. Last year's average salary was Rs 18.77 Lac per annum. The average salary increased by 7% from the past year while the median salary rose 8.4%. The average salary of the top 50% of the batch is Rs 20.05 Lac per annum and top 75% of the batch is Rs 22.7 Lac per annum.
Candidates can apply for multiple programmes and pay for all the programmes in one online form and should not fill more than one online form. If a candidate is found to have filled more than one form, all his/her applications will be cancelled. Colgate Palmolive offered the highest package of Rs 30.33 Lac per annum this year, compared to last year when Reckitt Benckiser made the top offer of Rs 27 Lac per annum.
About 38 companies, nine of them first-timers including Aarti Industries, Dell EMC, Infosys Consulting, Lodha Group, Swiggy, Taj Group, Udaan, Walmart and Yodlee Envestnet, made offers to the 67 students who participated in the placement process. Sixteen students with relevant work experience bagged lateral placement offers and were hired in middle-management roles by the likes of Amazon, Deloitte India, Lodha Group, L&T Infotech, Sterlite Power, Walmart and Wipro among others. The total number of pre-placement offers was 22. The FMCG sector absorbed the highest number of students, making around 18% of the total offers, followed by IT/ITeS/technology and consulting with 16% and 13% of offers, respectively and conglomerates snapped up 10%. Maruti Suzuki, Citibank, Aditya Birla Group, Mahindra & Mahindra, Reliance Industries, TAS, Accenture, Asian Paints, ITC, L'Oréal, Marico, Nestlé, Reckitt Benckiser, GAIL, Airtel, Oyo Rooms, Swiggy, Samsung R&D, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were among the prominent recruiters on campus.
Eligibility to Apply:
( i ) Pass Class' in the Bachelor's Degree pursued by the applicant will be taken for determining his/her eligibility.
( ii ) Candidates who are in the final year of their Bachelor's Degree programme, but have not passed in all the courses ( main/major/subsidiary, etc.) of the first and second years ( if the Degree is of 3 years duration) and first, second and third years (if the Degree is of 4 years duration) on the day of applying for the programme are not eligible to apply for any of the Master's Degree programmes offered by the Institute.
( iii ) Candidates who have been declared as failed in the final year examination are not eligible to apply for any of the Master's Degree Programmes of the Institute, unless they pass their Bachelor's Degree examination on the day of applying for any of the programmes.
( iv) Eligibility, once determined on the basis of the information given by the candidates in the Application Form, shall be final for the purpose of test/interview/selection. However, in case it is found that the information furnished by a candidate is incorrect or misleading or ineligibility being detected before or after the test/interview/selection/admission, his/her candidature will be cancelled.
( v ) If a provisionally admitted student fails in the final year of his/her Bachelor's Degree Examination and even if he/she has re-evaluation at the university/college, he/she will not be allowed to continue the programme as the offer of provisional admission stands automatically cancelled on his/her failure in the final year examination.
a) Candidates having a bachelor's degree with minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent ( under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized university are eligible to apply
b) At the time of applying candidates studying in 3 year degree progremme should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying in 4 year degree progrmmes should have passed in all the subjects for 1st to 6th semester.
c) Only those Candidates who will be able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor's Degree examinations by 2nd week of June 2019 are eligible to apply to all the programme.
Till the time the candidate submit results of the final year degree examination, admission to any of the Master's Degree Programmes of the Institute will be provisional. The results of the final examination have to be submitted before September 30, 2019. Those who fail to do so the provisional admission stands cancelled.

The selection of candidates for different programmes happens in two stages and has three components of assessment. All candidates appear for the National entrance test (TISSNET). Based on the performance in the TISSNET examination, only short listed candidates are called for the Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview. (PIT/PI)

This year General Awareness will consist of 40 marks, English Proficiency 30 marks, Maths and Logical Reasoning - 30 marks.
TISS-NET Hall Ticket: Hall Ticket will be uploaded on TISS Website between 18 DECEMBER 2019 and 19 DECEMBER 2019, candidate can down load their hall ticket from the TISS website. Those candidates who have not received their hall ticket by December 21, 2019, can call TISS CARE : 022 - 2552 5252 OR may register their complaint by sending a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that candidates without an admit card won't be allowed to attend the entrance test.
The PIT and PI for all the programmes will be held at TISS Mumbai, Tuljapur Hyderabad and Guwahati Campuses (please refer the to Important Dates Tab) The actual date of the PIT and PI of a candidate will be put up on the TISS website and will also be intimated to the candidate through e-mail. Short-listed candidates are requested to contact the Assistant Registrar (Academic), in case they do not receive any mail with regard to the date of PIT and PI by February 20, 2020.
