IIM Rohtak witnesses 8th Convocation Ceremony

As many as 254 students from postgraduate programme (PGP) and Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) were awarded degrees on Saturday during the 8th convocation ceremony hosted by Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak
Rajat Jain and Akshay Malik were awarded silver and bronze medals, respectively, while Prakhar Chabbra was given gold medal for being the all rounder. Union Public Service Commission of India (UPSC) chairman Arvind Saxena was the chief guest on the occasion. 
Director of IIM Rohtak Prof Dheeraj Sharma said the institute had completed final placement process for the graduating batch of PGP with 100% success.

He added, “The convocating batch is the 7th largest PGP batch among the 20 IIMs. Hence, it is an incredible achievement for the institute today as all the students have been placed well in the industry.” He added that there had been four times increase in female students inducted to the institute this year with the best gender ratio. 
Sharma said IIM Rohtak had launched several new courses like postgraduating programmes for working professionals, executive fellow programme in management, and executive postgraduate diploma in sports management. 

Congratulating the convocating students, UPSC Chairman Arvind Saxena said, “I have lived by this maxim with a perspective. Get your priorities clear. Making money cannot be a life goal. What matters is the impact you have on the lives of people”. Source: The Times of India
