The older Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) at Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kozhikode and Indore have completed their final placement for the batch 2018-20. Recruiters offering consulting roles to students during campus placement were found to be higher at these IIMs.
 
IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore did not disclose the average salary for the batch 2018-20, while the rest declared final figures for the MBA batch. As per report IIM Calcutta received an average salary of a record INR 28 lac per annum followed by IIM Lucknow (24.25 lac per annum); IIM Kozhikode (23.08 lac per annum)and Indore (22.9 lac per annum).

As per reports, 153 companies offered jobs to outgoing batch of around 400 students at IIM A. Firms that made the most offer on campus included McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). READ
At IIM-Calcutta, 136 firms offered 492 jobs to its 439 outgoing students. The average annual package of the entire batch was 28 lac per annum. IIM-C said consulting firms were the largest recruiters with 31% of the total offers. BCG, McKinsey & Co, Bain & Co, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Accenture were the top recruiters. READ
At IIM-B, 428 students received 518 job offers with a sizable portion (147) coming from top consulting firms. IIM-B received a 6.14% increase in the total number of jobs offered compared to the previous year.  
While the scene at the top B Schools changeling the old IIMs were not bad either. SPJIMR consolidated its position as a preferred destination for top consulting firms as more than 28 per cent of the PGDM batch picked up offers in the consulting domain. Recruiters were Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Co., Accenture Strategy, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, IBM Consulting, EY, Avalon Consulting and GEP among others. READ
Offers from consulting firms to students at XLRI has been 26%.  KPMG, Pricewaterhouse Coopers made the highest number of offers among recruiters from Boston Consulting Group, Accenture Strategy, Microsoft, Amazon, P&G, Aditya Birla Group, ITC, Avendus Capital, Standard Chartered, Capgemini ELITE, Hindustan Unilever and others. At MDI Gurgaon, 68 offers were rolled by BFSI sector and 59 offers came from Consulting cos. For the PGP-HRM program highest offers from the consulting sector 16 (26%). General Management & Consulting function saw engagement with Compass Group India and Tech Mahindra while top consulting firms such as Deloitte USI, McKinsey Digital and PwC US Advisory continued to offer coveted roles.
