Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM B) released final placement report for PGP Batch 2018-20. IIM Bangalore placements for the PGP class of 2018-20 witnessed 518 offers rolled out to all 432 students who appeared for placements.

So far, IIM Calcutta leads among all the IIMs as far as the highest average salary of MBA batch 2018-20, is concerned with an average salary offer of INR 27.9 Lac per annum. CLICK

Meanwhile, a total of 18 overseas offers were made at the IIM B with average overseas salary offer being INR 32.1 Lac for the batch 2018-20 (last year average was INR 62.3 Lac per annum).

A total of 129 companies participated in placement process and total Pre-Placement offers made were 170 & PPO Accepted were 125.

Domestic average salary has been recorded at INR 26.18 Lac per annum which is 6.6% higher than average salary for the batch 2017-19 (24.54 Lac per annum).

Top recruiters for the placement were - The Boston Consulting Group - 23; Bain & Company - 20; Accenture Strategy – 18; Amazon – 16; Kearney – 15; McKinsey & Company & PwC  Technology each 14 and so on. Pre-Placement offers (PPO) by the recruiters are Bain & Company -15; The Boston Consulting Group - 13; McKinsey & Company-11; Kearney-10.

Sector wise 37% students placed in Management Consulting followed by  14% in IT; 13% in General  Management; 11% in marketing sales; 10% in corporate finance & commercial banking and so on.

  • Consulting companies made 147 offers led by The Boston Consulting Group (23), Bain & Company (20), Kearney (15), McKinsey & Co (14), GEP Consulting (7), Strategy& (5), Alvarez & Marsal (5) and EY-Parthenon (1). Other recruiters included KPMG (7), Nomura Research Institute (4), IBM Consulting (4) and so on
  • Information technology and IT product management domain, top recruiters were Microsoft IDC (10), TCS (6), Razorpay (3), Sprinklr (3), Amagi Labs (2), Browserstack (2), Byju’s (2), Cisco (2), Infoedge (2), Moonfrog (2),  Tech Mahindra (2), Google (1) and so on.
  • Sales and Marketing domain top recruiters are Anheuser-Busch InBev (10), Asian Paints (5), FIITJEE – EdFora (5), Procter & Gamble (5), Bajaj Finserv (3), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (3), Emxcel (3), Tata Sky (3), Colgate Palmolive (2), ITC (2), Lenovo (2), Mondelez (2), Samsung (2) and so on
  • Conglomerates included are Aditya Birla Group leading with 8 offers followed by Adani Group (7), Vedanta (6), Capgemini (5), EPIC Group (5), Tata Administrative Services (4), Zee Entertainment (4), Genpact (4), ONGC (3), Reliance (3), RPG Group (3), CK Birla Group (2), Piramal (2) and so on.
  • Operations domain top recruiters are saw 17 offers with Accenture Operations (5), Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (3), Cloudtail (2) and so on.
