IIM Visakhapatnam achieves 100% placement. Average CTC INR 12.61 LPA. Ahead of IIM Nagpur, Rohtak & Kashipur.

IIM V PGP Placement 2019: Indian Institute of Management, Visakhapatnam (IIM V) has achieved 100% placement according to reports published, for the graduating batch of MBA students (2017-19). Average salary is INR 12.61 Lac per annum which is slightly higher than last year average salary is 12.07 lpa and highest salary is INR 22 Lac per annum.
According to the Institute, the placement season witnessed more than 50 companies participating in the process and making multiple offers and of the 60 eligible students, four requested deferment of their placements to next year. In a statement, it has also been stated that with an average salary for the top quartile at INR 17.07 lakh per annum (LPA), for the top half at INR 14.82 LPA, the average salary for the batch at INR12.61 LPA and median package at INR 12 LPA, and to cap it all, with the highest salary at INR 22 LPA, the batch broke all previous records setting new benchmarks.
Going by the average remuneration package, IIM Visakhapatnam is now ahead of IIM Nagpur, Rohtak and Kashipur. Average salary of IIM Nagpur has been INR 12.35 LPA, IIM Rohtak INA 11.85 LPA while that of IIM Kashipur is INR 12.24 LPA.
Leading recruiters were Aditya Birla Payments Bank, Amara Raja Group, Amul, BASIX, Berger Paints, Bosch, Click Labs, Euromonitor International, Franklin Templeton, GMR Group, HDFC Bank, HSBC, ICICI Lombard, KPMG, Mu Sigma, TVS Motors, Waaree Energies and Yes Bank counted among the who’s who of the corporate world, were the major recruiters.
Leading FMCG company Amul on-boarded students for sales and marketing. Infrastructure giant GMR extended offers for its management trainee programme in the operations domain. Berger Paints signed up students for marketing role.
Director, M. Chandrasekhar has been reported as saying, “With every passing year, our students are scaling new peaks in performance. This is reflected in the progressively higher offers that recruiters have been making. This year is no exception”. All regular recruiters continued their relationships and many new companies recruited from IIM-V, was also reported.
