MDI Gurgaon Final placement 2020: After SPJIMR Mumbai, SIBM Pune, VGSoM IIT Kharagpur, Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon has completed final placements For the batch 2018-20. Overall average salary is INR 22.05 Lac per annum, 9.5% increase over last year’s average salary INR 20.13 Lac per annum.
Amazon offered the top salary package of INR 40.50 Lac per annum, which is higher than last year’s highest salary offer of INR 40.79 Lac made by Google. This year’s median rose nearly 11% to INR 22 Lac from INR 19.82 Lac last year, said Kanwal Kapil, dean of placements at MDI, Gurgaon.
The batch of 2018-20 comprised 239 students from PGPM (post-graduate programme in management), 60 from PGP-HRM (post-graduate programme in human resource management) and another 60 from PGP-IM (post-graduate programme in international management). Average salary went up across all three: to INR 22.15 lac from last year’s INR19.89 lac in PGPM; INR 22.23 lac from INR20.93 lac for PGPHRM; and to INR 21.49 lac from INR 20.33 Lac for PGP-IM.

PwC US Advisory emerged the largest recruiter with 14 offers, followed by Deloitte USI, ICICI Bank and IDFC First Bank with 13 offers each. Airtel made 10 offers. The consulting sector made offers to 21% of the batch, followed by BFSI (20%), technology, telecommunications and media (17%), FMCG/FMCD (15%), ecommerce (12%), conglomerate, automobile, energy and logistics (11%), and pharmaceutical and healthcare (4%). Offers from BFSI, however, dipped to 72 this year from 88 last year, given the slowdown across the sector.
A bunch of new recruiters also turned up on campus, including AkzoNobel, Delhivery, Dell, Grofers, IDFC First Bank, Lenovo, Tata Global Beverages, Tech Mahindra and Xiaomi. Source: ET
