The T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI),Manipal one of India’s premier B-Schools, has seen 4.5% hike in top salaries over the previous batch of 2016-18 during placement of its specialist PGDM-Banking and Financial Services (PGDM-BKFS) Programme for the batch of 2017-19. This year’s top salary for the 2017-19 batches was INR 15 lakh per annum, which is INR 70,000 more than the previous year. Only one student got this top salary in this year's placement like last year. While TAPMI announced 100% placement for its PGDM-BKFS programme, the average salary has seen an increase of 9% over the previous batch from INR 10.30 lakh per annum top INR11.30 lakh per annum. TAPMI’s PGDM-BKFS program focuses on “Value-Creation through Analysis”. The programme design is based on the MS-Finance programme of US with additional inputs on business management so as to ensure in-depth understanding of business finance decisions.
All 42 students opted to take placements from 21 top finance companies such as Deloitte, E&Y, Grant Thornton, Tresvista, Citi Corp, J P Morgan Chase, HSBC, Accenture, KPMG, Bajaj Finserve, L&T Finance, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, Goldman Sachs that recruited students in various roles encompassing Risk Assurance, Financial Analyst, Business Valuators, Wealth Management, Retail Banking, Corporate Banking and Cyber Security.
The programme that boasts of association with CFA International and GARP (FRM) and provides students scholarships to pursue CFA and FRM certifications extensively involves experiential learning courses such as SMIC (student managed investment course) and Samnidhy (student management mutual fund) designed around TAPMI Finance Lab – powered by 16 Bloomberg and 7 Reuters terminals. To ensure that students possess industry relevant skills, TAPMI PGDM-BKFS programme includes practical training with SBI, BSE, Bloomberg and Reuters. Source: Times of India

While TAPMI announced 100% placement for its PGDM-BKFS programme. The minimum salary during placement also saw a reasonable hike of INR 1.30 lakh from INR 7.70 lakh to INR 9 lakh. The top 50% got INR 12.70 lakh per annum package while the compensation was INR 11.80 lakh the previous year.
