Updated as on Feb 09, 2021. TISSNET Exam 2021 is a computer based National Entrance Test for MA program of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). TISS-NET is a computer-based test with 100 objective type multiple choice questions (MCQ). TISS-NET 2021 will be held on 20th February, 2021, from 2 to 3.40 PM across several centres located in different parts of the country. TISS has 21 schools and 45 centres offering variety of programmes. TISS has 5 campuses: Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Chennai Campus. TISS Mumbai final placements 2021 Out : Average salary crosses INR 19.62 Lac per annum

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai released final placement for the 2017-19 batch of postgraduate programme in human resource management and labour relations (HM & LR). According to the final placement report, the average salary crossed INR 20 Lac per annum for the first time in the history of the college. The average salary for the batch is Rs 20.06 lpa while the median salary is Rs 20.05 lpa salary. Last year’s average salary was Rs 18.77 Lac per annum. The average salary increased by 7% from the past year while the median salary rose 8.4%. The average salary of the top 50% of the batch is Rs 20.05 Lac per annum and top 75% of the batch is Rs 22.7 Lac per annum. Colgate Palmolive offered the highest package of Rs 30.33 Lac per annum this year, compared to last year when Reckitt Benckiser made the top offer of Rs 27 Lac per annum.

About 38 companies, nine of them first-timers including Aarti Industries, Dell EMC, Infosys Consulting, Lodha Group, Swiggy, Taj Group, Udaan, Walmart and Yodlee Envestnet, made offers to the 67 students who participated in the placement process. Sixteen students with relevant work experience bagged lateral placement offers and were hired in middle-management roles by the likes of Amazon, Deloitte India, Lodha Group, L&T Infotech, Sterlite Power, Walmart and Wipro among others. The total number of pre-placement offers was 22. The FMCG sector absorbed the highest number of students, making around 18% of the total offers, followed by IT/ITeS/technology and consulting with 16% and 13% of offers, respectively and conglomerates snapped up 10%.

Eligibility to Apply:

( i ) Pass Class’ in the Bachelor’s Degree pursued by the applicant will be taken for determining his/her eligibility.
( ii ) Candidates who are in the final year of their Bachelor’s Degree programme, but have not passed in all the courses ( main/major/subsidiary, etc.) of the first and second years ( if the Degree is of 3 years duration) and first, second and third years (if the Degree is of 4 years duration) on the day of applying for the programme are not eligible to apply for any of the Master’s Degree programmes offered by the Institute.
( iii ) Candidates who have been declared as failed in the final year examination are not eligible to apply for any of the Master’s Degree Programmes of the Institute, unless they pass their Bachelor’s Degree examination on the day of applying for any of the programmes.
( iv) Eligibility, once determined on the basis of the information given by the candidates in the Application Form, shall be final for the purpose of test/interview/selection. However, in case it is found that the information furnished by a candidate is incorrect or misleading or ineligibility being detected before or after the test/interview/selection/admission, his/her candidature will be cancelled.
( v ) If a provisionally admitted student fails in the final year of his/her Bachelor’s Degree Examination and even if he/she has re-evaluation at the university/college, he/she will not be allowed to continue the programme as the offer of provisional admission stands automatically cancelled on his/her failure in the final year examination.

General Eligibility:

a) Candidates having a bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent ( under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education)  from a recognized university are eligible to apply

b) At the time of applying candidates studying in 3 year degree progremme should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying in 4 year degree progrmmes should have passed in all the subjects for 1st to 6th semester.

c) Only those Candidates who will be able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor’s Degree examinations by 2nd week of June 2019 are eligible to apply to all the programme.

Till the time the candidate submit results of the final year degree examination, admission to any of the Master’s Degree Programmes of the Institute will be provisional. The results of the final examination have to be submitted before September 30, 2019. Those who fail to do so the provisional admission stands cancelled.

The selection of candidates for different programmes happens in two stages and has three components of assessment. All candidates appear for the National entrance test (TISSNET). Based on the performance in the TISSNET examination, only short listed candidates are called for the Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview. (PIT/PI)

The weightage for NET, PIT and PI is as follows for the for the preparation of final merit lists for General as well as for Reserved Category candidates. NET – 40% ; PIT – 30% ; PI – 30%. This year General Awareness will consist of 40 marks, English Proficiency  30 marks, Maths and Logical Reasoning – 30 marks. Candidates can apply online.
