Updated as on Apr 01, 2022. The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT KGP) will start the GATE 2022 registration from August 30 online of its official website. GATE Exam 2022 application form last date without late fee is September 24.

The exagate exam 2022m conducting authority will conduct the GATE 2022 exam in online mode on February 5, 6, 12, and 13.

GATE 2022: IIT Kharagpur to conduct exam

IIT Kharagpur on Thursday announced to conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2022) on 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th February 2022. IIT Kharagpur also announced that 2 new papers have been introduced. The two new subject papers available to the candidates are – GE (Geomatics Engineering) and NM (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering).

With two new subjects introduced, GATE 2022 will be conducted for 27 subjects including Environmental Science and Engineering (ES) and Humanities and Social Sciences (XS). The examination would be a Computer Based Test (CBT). 

“AICTE in order to ensure the development of technical education in India awards Post Graduate Scholarship of Rs. 12,400/- per month to full-time GATE/GPAT qualified students admitted to AICTE approved postgraduate programs in AICTE approved Institutions/ University Departments,” reads the official notice. COAP 2022 Registration Date for IIT M. Tech Admission

GATE International Examination Centre: GATE 2021 Examination will be conducted in the following cities: Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal), Singapore.

A coloured print hard copy of the GATE 2022 admit card is to be carried and one valid id proof (in original) which can be aadhar card / voter id / PAN card / college id / employee id / driving license.
International registered candidates are required to carry their passport / college id / government issued id / employee id for identification purposes.
A virtual calculator will be provided to participants.

New Subjects In GATE 2022: The 2022 edition of GATE exam will see some changes, including introduction of two new subjects — Environmental Science and Engineering, or ES, and Humanities and Social Science, or XS.

Eligibility for GATE Exam 2022:

  • A candidate who is currently studying in 3 rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program OR has already completed any government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts.

Maximum Two papers in GATE 2022: A candidate may appear either in ONE or TWO subject papers. For candidates who choose Two papers, the combination must be from the approved list of combinations and subject to the availability of infrastructure and date.

GATE 2022: IIT Kharagpur To Conduct Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering Next Year: GATE held as an annual test to shortlist candidates for admission to postgraduate programmes in engineering or science with scholarship and assistantship from the Ministry of Education (MoE) will be organised by IIT Kharagpur next year. GATE is conducted in eight zones in India jointly by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology, or IITs, (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) with one organising institute on a rotational basis.

IIT Bombay while handing over the responsibility in a statement said: “IIT Bombay handed over the responsibility of organizing GATE 2022 to IIT Kharagpur after successful completion of GATE 2021 on schedule in spite of the pandemic.”

A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program.

A candidate who has already completed any government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible for appearing in the GATE 2022 exam.

However, the candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies must ensure that those examinations conducted by the societies are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Planning, etc.

Candidates who have obtained / are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India: Must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or completed their Bachelor’s degree (duration: at least 3 years) in Engineering / Technology / Science / Arts / Commerce.
