GATE Exam 2025. IIT M.Tech Applications & NIT PhD Admissions

Updated as on Oct 01, 2023. GATE 2025 Exam: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, will be conducting the Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE) in 2025. The exam syllabus, question paper pattern and the marking scheme has been released.

GATE 2025 will be conducted for 30 test papers. The candidates can appear either in one or up to two test papers. The mode of examination will be in English.

Candidates who wish to apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering  (GATE) 2024 will be able to fill out the registration form on the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. “The Application Portal for GATE 2024 is expected to open by 30th August 2023,” reads the official website of GATE 2024.

GATE  Exam Feb 11 Paper Analysis

 As per the tentative schedule released for the GATE exam 2024, the last date to complete online applications without late fees is September 29, 2023 and the closing date of extended online registration/application process with late fee is October 13, 2023.  Applicants will be able to make modifications to their GATE application form 2024 between November 7 to November 11, 2023. The GATE admit card 2024 will be released on January 3, 2024, while the exams will be conducted on February 3, 4 ,10, 11 2024.

GATE 2024 Registration: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in 

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link given for ONLINE REGISTRATION and register yourself. 

Step 3: Now again go to the homepage, click on FILL APPLICATION FORM, and log in. 

Step 4: Now proceed with filling out the GATE application form 2024 and upload all the necessary documents. 

Step 5: Make the payment of online application fees. 

Step 6: Download the confirmation page and take its printout for further use. A direct link to apply online will be provided here once the GATE 2024 application link is activated on the official portal.

GATE 2024 Eligibility

 Education: Candidates who have completed graduation or are in their third or higher year of an undergraduate degree are eligible. Those who have/are pursuing a degree in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, or arts can apply.

Nationality: Candidates should be citizens of India to apply for GATE. Those from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, or the UAE are also eligible.

GATE International Examination Centre: GATE 2023 Examination will be conducted in the following cities: Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Dubai (UAE), Kathmandu (Nepal), Singapore.

CCMT NIT M Tech Admission 2024

A coloured print hard copy of the GATE 2023 admit card is to be carried and one valid id proof (in original) which can be aadhar card / voter id / PAN card / college id / employee id / driving license.
International registered candidates are required to carry their passport / college id / government issued id / employee id for identification purposes.
A virtual calculator will be provided to participants.

New Subjects In GATE 2023: The 2024 edition of GATE exam will see some changes, including introduction of two new subjects — Environmental Science and Engineering, or ES, and Humanities and Social Science, or XS.

Maximum Two papers in GATE 2024: A candidate may appear either in ONE or TWO subject papers. For candidates who choose Two papers, the combination must be from the approved list of combinations and subject to the availability of infrastructure and date.

A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program.

IIT Kanpur GATE 2023 Exam Answer Key

A candidate who has already completed any government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible for appearing in the GATE 2023 exam.

However, the candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies must ensure that those examinations conducted by the societies are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Planning, etc.

Candidates who have obtained / are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India: Must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or completed their Bachelor’s degree (duration: at least 3 years) in Engineering / Technology / Science / Arts / Commerce.
