Updated as on Sep 16, 2026 : XGMT 2027: The XGMT (XIM General Management Test) serves as the official university-level entrance examination conducted by XIM University, Bhubaneswar for admission to its flagship MBA and executive postgraduate programs (including MBA-BM at XIMB, MBA-HRM at XAHR, MBA-RM at XSRM, and others).

Xavier General Management Aptitude Test (XGMT) is an online management entrance test being conducted by Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XIM University).

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The XGMT exam is divided into four sections with a sectional time limit. The sections appear in a random sequence.

Sections and Syllabus:

Quantitative Aptitude (QA): This section assesses a candidate’s mathematical and numerical reasoning skills. Topics include: Percentages and their applications, Numbers and Number System, Algebra, Geometry, Work and Time, Time, Speed, Distance, Ratio and its applications, Probability and Combinations
Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VA & LR): This section tests language proficiency and analytical thinking. Topics include: Reading Comprehension, Grammar and Vocabulary, Para Jumbles, Critical Reasoning, Syllogisms, Blood Relations, Puzzles and Seating Arrangements.
Data Interpretation (DI): This section evaluates a candidate’s ability to analyze and interpret data presented in various formats. Topics include: Bar Graphs, Tables, Pie Charts, Line Graphs, Caselets and Data Sufficiency
Emotional Quotient and General Awareness (EQ & GA): This unique section assesses both general knowledge and emotional intelligence. Topics include: Current Affairs, Static GK (Government & Politics, Business, Economy), Situational questions to measure emotional intelligence, empathy, and social skills.

XIM University MBA, MBA HRM Placement Report

XGMT eligibility is as follows:

The candidate must hold a three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, and must have secured at least 55% marks in aggregate (60% for MBA-UMG), from a recognised University

GATE scores can be accepted for MBA-UMG only

Candidates who have secured the 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in their undergraduate program can apply directly to MBA-RM and the MBA-UMG programs, without having a valid CAT/XAT/GMAT/XGMT score. Along with the application, the candidate needs to attach a certificate from the Head of the Institution stating their position. However, the candidate will have to attend the Personal Interview

4.·The four sections during the test will appear in random sequence and there will be sectional time limits, which means a candidate must complete a section in a given time. If a candidate finishes any section early, (s)he must wait for the next section to begin and can’t go back to a completed section.
