Application Form Filling : Last Date extended up-to 25-10-2021 (Monday) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today announced the exam dates for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021. As per the notification, the exam will be held between December 16, 2021 to January 13, 2022. A detailed schedule in this regard will be released on the official website – ctet.nic.in from Sep 20, 2021. Candidates can apply ONLINE.
CBSE will conduct the 15th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode. The test will be held in 20 languages throughout the country. The online application process for the CTET December exam will begin on September 20 and the last date for application is Oct 19, 2021, 11:59 pm. Candidates can submit the application fee by October 20, 3:30 pm.
The application fee for General/OBC candidates applying for one paper in Rs 1000 and for both the papers in Rs 1200. For SC/ST/ PwD candidates, the application fee for one paper is 500 and for both papers is Rs 600.
The new exam cities where CTET would be conducted are Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Purnia, Rohtas, Saharsa, Saran, Bhilai/ Durg, Bilaspur, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Ambedkar Nagar, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Deoria, Gonda, Mainpuri, Pratapgarh, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Udham Singh Nagar.
CBSE CTET Result 2021 declared: T he Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday, February 26, declared the result for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on its official website. Out of 16,11,423 registered candidates for Paper 1, 12,47, 217 appeared and 4,14,798 qualified the exam. For Paper 2, 11,04,454 candidates out of 14,47,551 registered candidates appeared and 2,39,501 qualified.
CBSE conducts CTET examination to certify the eligibility for candidates to teach at schools affiliated with CBSE. The CTET exam consists of two papers in which Paper I certifies eligibility for Class I to Class VI and Paper II from Class Vi to Class VIII. Candidates have an option to appear for either one of the papers or both the papers.

Eligibility for CTET 2021:
- Candidates must have a bachelors’ degree in any discipline from any recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks, and at least 45% in case of reserved candidates.
- Final year students can also apply.
- Candidates should complete the prescribed teacher training programmes/teacher education courses.

CTET 2021 Syllabus:
CTET syllabus 2021 has not been released by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) yet. However, the CTET exam comprises questions from subjects such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I (compulsory), Language II (compulsory), Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Science, and Social Studies/Social Sciences.
Candidates need to appear for CTET 2021 in order to be appointed as teachers from Class I to Class VIII. CTET exam comprises two papers – Paper-I and Paper-II. Aspirants need to appear for CTET Paper-I if they want to be appointed as teachers for Classes I to V. Paper-II of the exam needs to be given by candidates who plan to teach Classes VI to VIII.
