Updated as on Dec 15, 2022. JEE Main Exam 2023:The National Testing (NTA) Agency today began the registration for Joint Entrance Examination (Main)- 2023 January session. This year as well students will get two attempts for the exam. Candidates can apply at the official website.

JEE MainCandidates can apply till January 12, 2023 till 9 pm. The exams will be conducted on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31, 2023. JEE Main 2023 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu

Candidates need to pass class 12 or equivalent examination in 2021, 2022 or shall be appearing in 2023 while applying for JEE Main 2023 examination. They can appear for the exam irrespective of their age, however, they may be required to fulfil the age criteria of the institute(s) in which they want to take admission.

“The dates of Advance Intimation of Examination City, downloading of Admit Cards, and declaration of Result will be displayed on the JEE (Main) portal in due course,” NTA on the official notice said.

The Online Application Forms for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2022 Session 1 was reopened on April 18. The first session of JEE Main will held on June  23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2022.

The JEE Mains 2022 Examination is being held in the country as one of the most  popular JEE Main 2023entrance examinations for admissions in top engineering colleges of India (IIT/NIT/IIIT and others) in undergraduate engineering (UG) and 5 year Integrated programmes. The JEE Mains examination was held once a year and the conducting body was CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). But, from 2019, it is expected that the conducting body will be changed and the new conducting body for JEE Main will be NTA (National Testing Agency).

JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Date Released: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2022 dates have finally been released! Indian Institute of Technology Bombay  (IIT B) conducting JEE Advanced 2022 exam on July 3, 2022 and registration process will begin from June 8, 2022. 

JEE Main Exam Syllabus: JEE Main 2022 will be conducted to allot seats to various candidates in IIITs, NITs, and CFTIs. That is why it becomes crucial to scoring some great marks in JEE Main 2020 to get into one of these above listed prestigious institutes. And that is only possible if you start preparing according to the syllabus prescribed. The syllabus for IIT JEE Main this year will remain the same, no major changes are expected from the new conducting body, NTA.

JEE Main 2022 will be conducted in 13 regional languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

  • To avoid much confusion, the syllabus of JEE Mains 2023 has also been kept the same.  Also, the pattern and the fees have been unaltered. 

The attempt limit of JEE Main will also be same as the previous year i.e 3 attempts. But there is still a confirmation required from the authorities, whether it will be 3 attempts taken consecutively or 3 attempts taken in 3 years. Note that, admission session and the counseling will be held only once, unlike the JEE Main exam. However, there will be no changes in the procedure of the JEE Advanced.   • Exam Duration: 3 hours
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Based Questions
  • Medium Of Language: English, Hindi, and Gujarati ( across some regional test centers of Daman, Diu, Gujarat and Nagar Haveli)
  • No. Of Questions To Be Attempted: 30 questions each from PCM – For BE/B Tech and for B.Arch/B. Plan, 50 questions from aptitude section, 30 questions from Mathematics and 2 questions based on drawing section.
  • Marking Criteria: For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded.
  • Negative Marking: A mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer and no marks will be deducted if a question is left unanswered.
