XAT Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum Marks: Unlike CAT, XAT has no minimum percentage requirement for application. As long as you have passed your degree, you are eligible.
- Final Year Students: If you are in your final year of graduation, you are eligible to apply, provided you complete your final exams by June 10, 2027.
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for XAT 2027.

How to Apply for XAT 2027
The application process is entirely online via the official website, xatonline.in.
- Registration: Create an account using your name, email, and mobile number to receive your XAT ID and password.
- Fill Application: Log in and enter your personal, academic, and professional details.
- Choose Programs: You can apply for XLRI programs (Business Management or HRM) directly within the XAT form.
- Upload Documents: You will need a digital passport-size photo and a scanned signature (Black ink on white paper).
- Payment: The base registration fee is expected to be ₹2,200. If you apply for XLRI programs, an additional ₹200 per program is charged.

Selection Strategy for 2027
When narrowing down your top choices, consider these three factors:
- Sectional Cutoffs: Unlike CAT, XLRI and XIMB have strict sectional cutoffs (VA, DM, QA). Even with a high overall score, missing a sectional target can prevent an interview call.
- Specialization: If you are certain about Marketing, MICA should be your priority alongside XLRI. For Finance, NIBM and SPJIMR are top contenders.
- Application Deadlines: Many Tier 2 colleges (like MICA and IMT) require you to apply before the XAT exam is conducted in January.
