Amritsar, 12th Sep 2026: The Indian Institute of Management Amritsar (IIMAm) hosted Pariprekshya’26, its 10th Annual Finance & Marketing Conclave, at Hyatt Regency, Amritsar. The conclave brought together distinguished industry leaders and professionals from the fields of finance and marketing to engage with students on contemporary developments, emerging trends and evolving business practices.
The conclave commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by Dr Arun Kumar Kaushik, Dean Administration, IIMAm; Dr Ananya Syal, Chairperson, Students’ Affairs; Dr Riya Singla, Faculty; and the esteemed panellists and guests. In his inaugural address, Dr Kaushik welcomed the distinguished speakers, faculty, staff and students, and underscored the importance of industry-academia interaction in connecting classroom learning with practical perspectives. He encouraged students to strengthen their critical thinking by cultivating the habit of asking questions, and concluded by congratulating the organising team and reaffirming IIMAm’s focus on preparing students for emerging industry challenges.

Thereafter, Mr Raj Katarmal and Ms Lokashi Singh, students of IIMAm, introduced the theme of the first session, “Building Alpha Beyond Public Markets: The Rise of Alternative Investments in Modern Portfolio Management.” They highlighted the growing role of alternative investments in India’s evolving investment landscape, discussed upcoming investment strategies in the sector and emphasised their potential for alpha generation, long-term capital and portfolio diversification. This was followed by the felicitation of the esteemed guests by Dr Syal.
The first panel discussion was moderated by Mr Vishal Raigagla, Finance Controller and Head FP&A, Raymond Lifestyle Limited, who has led Raymond Lifestyle’s major corporate demerger and received the Most Valued Contributor Award from the Group Chairman. Mr Raigagla spoke about the growing movement of capital from public to private markets and the opportunities emerging across infrastructure and other sectors. Mr Sambasivan G, Chief Financial Officer, Tata Play Ltd, with 36+ years of finance leadership and triple professional qualifications, addressed the expanding role of private capital in long-term infrastructure and growth opportunities, including the relevance of REITs and InvITs in broadening investment avenues.
Mr Atul Khanna, Chief Accounting Officer & Senior Vice President, LG Electronics India, brings over three decades of finance leadership and extensive expertise in financial management, accounting and corporate governance. He stressed the need to balance risk, liquidity and returns through a structured approach to investment. Mr Yogesh Ratnakar Udhoji, Chief Financial Officer, Muthoot Housing Finance Co. Ltd, brings 26+ years of experience across finance, risk management and corporate finance. He spoke about rising financial literacy and the growing interest in corporate bonds and alternative investments.
The discussion underscored the growing relevance of private markets and alternative investments, including REITs and InvITs, while highlighting the importance of balancing risk, liquidity and returns. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where students interacted with the panellists and explored diverse perspectives on the evolving investment landscape.
The conclave resumed with its second session on marketing. Mr Sarthak Bansal and Ms Harshita Kothari, MBA students of IIMAm, introduced the theme “Beyond the Scroll: Winning Minds, Shaping Markets.” They highlighted the need to capture consumer attention and convert it into influence in an evolving digital landscape, emphasising that effective marketing must go beyond reach and visibility to focus on relevance, recall and meaningful consumer engagement. The guests were felicitated by Dr Syal.
The second panel discussion was moderated by Mr Srikrishna Chintalapati, Vice President and Head of Growth Marketing, ITC Infotech, whose research on AI-powered marketing and digital trust has earned 950+ citations globally. He guided the discussion from attention to connection, influence and impact, bringing together B2B and B2C perspectives. Mr Anand Subbiah, Executive Director, Marketing – Asset and Wealth Management, JPMorgan Chase, has led global, omnichannel marketing initiatives across financial services and technology, driving brand growth, customer acquisition and scalable marketing strategies across diverse markets. He emphasised the importance of understanding consumer needs and establishing a clear strategy before developing marketing campaigns.
Mr Rajiv Dubey, Vice President – Marketing, Dabur India, has played a key role in building and scaling iconic brands such as Real, Vatika, Amla, Odonil and Dabur Red across evolving consumer markets. He highlighted the value of cultural relevance, social listening and communicating with consumers in a language they understand to build loyalty. Mr Aditya Rana, Brand, Content & Creator Marketing Leader has contributed to Cannes Lions-winning campaigns in digital and social marketing. He stressed the need to move beyond views by focusing on memorable content, platform-specific storytelling and campaigns that encourage consumers to return to the brand.
The discussion traced the journey from attention to impact, emphasising consumer understanding, clear strategies, memorable content and brand loyalty. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, allowing students to explore diverse perspectives on meaningful consumer engagement.
The conclave concluded by bringing together key perspectives from the finance and marketing industries, enabling students to connect classroom learning with contemporary industry practices.
Through Pariprekshya’26, IIMAm reaffirmed its commitment to fostering industry-oriented learning and creating meaningful opportunities for students to engage with leading professionals. The conclave strengthened students’ understanding of contemporary developments and emerging opportunities across finance and marketing.
