New Delhi, Sep 29, 2026, NEET PG 2026 Cut-Off :  Following the declaration of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026 results on September 24 by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the qualifying cut-off scores across all categories have experienced a noticeable dip.

Key Factors Driving the Shift

1. Revised Total Marks Pattern:
   Unlike previous years where the total paper score was capped at 800 marks, the NEET PG 2026 exam was conducted out of a total maximum of 720 marks, naturally reducing overall numerical cut-offs.
2. Exam Difficulty & Candidate Performance:
   Fluctuations in difficulty levels directly adjust qualifying marks down to match the general performance curve of the appearing candidates.
3. Seat Availability:
   Cut-offs are dynamic; depending on seat availability and vacant postgraduate medical seats during subsequent counselling rounds, examination authorities may revise or lower eligibility thresholds as needed.

In addition to the revised scores, NBEMS is introducing a major operational update this session: the release of official answer keys and recorded response sheets.

Following directives from the Supreme Court aimed at enhancing transparency in high-stakes entrance examinations:

• Candidates will be able to review question IDs, correct answers, recorded responses, and individual scores directly via their applicant portal.
• The official answer key is scheduled to be accessible on or after October 1, 2026.
