The petitions, filed by NEET PG aspirants and the United Doctors Front (UDF), highlight concerns regarding transparency in the evaluation process. Following the Supreme Court’s previous directive, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released the NEET PG answer key for the first time. However, candidates have expressed dissatisfaction with its format, as it only includes question IDs paired with answers, without publishing the complete question papers.

The Supreme Court (SC) is expected to hear the NEET PG 2025 transparency plea on September 23, after the hearing was adjourned for two weeks on September 19. The plea challenges the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for releasing only question IDs instead of the full question papers and answer keys, which makes verification impossible for candidates. This ongoing issue has delayed the commencement of NEET PG 2025 counselling, creating uncertainty for thousands of medical aspirants.
The case challenging the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) notification on releasing only question IDs instead of full papers of NEET PG 2025 will be heard along with other NEET PG cases.
Originally slated for a hearing in October, the plea was taken up on September 4 and then was heard on September 12. Petitioners in the NEET PG case argued that NBEMS had initially promised to release the complete set of questions with the answer key, but later issued a “corrective notice” restricting disclosure to only question IDs.
