JAP 2026: The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) at IIM Raipur, IIM Kashipur, IIM Ranchi and IIM Tiruchirappalli have announced a Joint Admission Process (JAP) for MBA admissions for the batch 2026 2028.
IIM Raipur has been chosen to coordinate for JAP 2026, which is the managing admissions for all the 4 participating institutes.
“We are honoured to announce the Joint Admission Process (JAP) 2026, fostering collaboration amongst four premier IIMs. This initiative exemplifies our commitment to resource optimisation, student-centric admissions, and strengthening the IIM brand for future leaders. JAP 2026 reflects our dedication to maintaining high standards and opening new opportunities for aspiring MBA candidates,” said Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge at IIM Raipur.
By consolidating applications into a single window, JAP 2026 minimises the logistical burden on candidates who would otherwise apply separately to each IIM.
It also ensures consistent assessment criteria across the participating institutes. After the announcement of CAT results, candidates will be eligible to participate in a combined selection process that may lead to admission to any of the four schools.
This collaboration not only simplifies procedures but also signals a broader shift toward unified standards amongst IIMs that may inspire similar partnerships in future.
It enhances the visibility of newer IIMs and ensures that their selection standards remain comparable to those of older, more established institutions.
For MBA aspirants, JAP 2026 offers reduced complexity, greater choice, and a fairer platform.
For the institutions, it offers cost savings, reduced administrative duplication, and the chance to reach broader applicant pools, all while maintaining autonomy over final selections.
As the application window approaches, aspirants and education watchers alike are expected to track JAP 2026 closely, a move that could redefine how India’s premier B-school admissions unfold.
Earlier CAP is the common application process for 9 IIMs, last year IIM Raipur out from the CAP and taken own application for admission into MBA 2o25 Batch. As per Media Report
