The “Liberal Arts” Edge in the AI World
Sanjeev Bikhchandani, founder of Info Edge India and a co-founder of Ashoka University, emphasized that the success of these placements reflects a shift in industry requirements.
Beyond corporate placements, the university’s postgraduate outcomes were equally impressive, with 130 students securing over 400 offers from leading global universities. This includes a notable rise in admissions to prestigious Ivy League and Oxbridge institutions, as well as 18 full-ride master’s scholarships (including Rhodes and Gates Cambridge) and 16 PhD admissions.
“This achievement underscores Ashoka’s commitment to ensuring “placement at scale,” focusing not just on record-breaking highest packages, but on ensuring 100% employment for the entire graduating class across all sectors, including non-profits”, said Bhikchandani.
While an average CTC of Rs 13.5 LPA looks decent, evaluating the ROI may present a nuanced picture due to the extremely high fee structure at Ashoka.
