Indian Institute of Management Ranchi celebrated its 15th Annual Convocation Ceremony on March 28, 2026, where a total of 558 degrees were awarded across various programmes. The degrees included 26 PhD and 11 PhD (Executive) degrees, along with graduates from MBA (251), MBA HRM (62), MBA BA (50), MBA (Executive) (50), Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) Batch 2021–26 (73 students), and IPM (BBA) Batch 2022–25 (35 students).

The first session of the ceremony commenced at 3:00 PM and was attended by the Hon’ble Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, as the Chief Guest. The event was also graced by Guests of Honour including Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Harivansh Narayan Singh, Sanjay Seth, and Sudivya Kumar. The ceremony began with an academic procession comprising distinguished guests, members of the Board of Governors, the Director, and faculty members.
Degrees were conferred to graduates from MBA, MBA-HR, MBA-BA, MBA (Executive), IPM, Ph.D., and Ph.D. (Executive) programmes during the ceremony.

Top-performing students across programmes were honored with medals and merit certificates by the Vice President. The awards recognized toppers from MBA, MBA-BA, MBA-HRM, MBA Executive (Summer), and MBA Executive (Winter) programmes. Special awards for overall excellence included the Student Citizenship Award, received by Sejal Taori, and the Prof. Ashish Hajela Award, awarded to Debolina Mitra. On the occasion, the Vice President also launched the institute’s Virtual Reality Case Repository, described as the first of its kind among B-schools in India.
Among the top-performing students, the MBA programme recognized Nalin Suriya S, Harshita Arora, Ruchir Damani, and Raghul G. In MBA-HRM, Akshay, Mestry Prasad Vidyadhar, Darshan Nath, Yajas Dhoble, and Aakriti Agrawal were honored. The MBA-BA programme featured Chandresh V, Yadavalli Satya Venkata Anitha, Kabilan M, and Arunjyoti Sharma among the top students. In MBA (Executive) Summer batch, Mamali Mohapatra, Kunal Daripa, Biswajit Pasayat, Ujjwal Singh Modak, and Manish Kumar Chaudhary were recognized, while Kumar Siddhanth, Vivian Marandi, Dillip Kumar Maharana, Arnab Roy Chowdhury, and Rohan Anil Tokekar were honored from the Winter batch.
IIM Ahmedabad awards 629 degrees to students at its 61st Convocation
Addressing the gathering, Director Deepak Kumar Srivastava highlighted the institute’s progress, noting its 9th position among IIMs in NIRF Rankings and its recent AMBA accreditation. He stated that the institute published 105 research papers over the past year and saw participation from 102 companies in placements. The highest domestic package reached ₹1.2 crore per annum, while the highest package for the MBA programme stood at ₹52.9 lakh per annum. He also emphasized initiatives such as the Centre for Teaching with Artificial Intelligence, inaugurated by Dharmendra Pradhan, and the launch of a Virtual Reality Case Repository Lab. The institute’s efforts in promoting tribal entrepreneurship and contributing to executive education and consultancy were also highlighted.
IIM Bangalore celebrate 51th Convocation, 785 students get degree
Chairman of the Board of Governors, Praveen Shankar Pandya, stated that India is experiencing growth across sectors such as manufacturing, hospitality, and food processing, supported by technological transformation. He encouraged students to remain lifelong learners and noted that IIM Ranchi plans to establish a startup incubation center.

Sudivya Kumar described IIM Ranchi as a matter of pride for Jharkhand and highlighted initiatives like the Guruji Credit Card Scheme. He emphasized the role of mentorship, character building, and continuous learning in improving education standards.
Sanjay Seth spoke about opportunities in sectors such as AI and defence, noting the presence of over 2.9 lakh startups and 8 crore MSMEs in India. He referred to the ₹10,000 crore startup fund announced in the Union Budget and encouraged students to adopt innovation, discipline, and a “Nation first” mindset.
Harivansh Narayan Singh highlighted the institute’s growth over 17 years and credited faculty contributions. He emphasized the impact of technology and encouraged students to explore sectors such as green energy and electric mobility while adopting a purposeful life.
Santosh Kumar Gangwar stressed the importance of developing socially responsible and capable decision-makers. He encouraged students to uphold human values, act with transparency, and contribute to national development.
In his address, C. P. Radhakrishnan urged students to remain committed to honesty, responsibility, and social contribution. He emphasized financial awareness, advising prudent management of resources and avoidance of unnecessary expenses. He further stated that success should be measured not only by financial gains but also by happiness and balance in life. Encouraging resilience and thoughtful decision-making, he called upon students to contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 by creating opportunities within the country while learning globally and bringing back new ideas for national development.
