The wait has been over. Just like many, we too were typing to confirm the number of applications that have come in for CAT 2024 this year. Finally, IIM Calcutta discloses the number of registrations to be 3.3 Lakh. IIM Calcutta (Indian Institute Of Management– Calcutta) is conducting the CAT 2024 Exam. Incidentally, there has been a spike in the number of CAT takers since CAT 2023. The surge has surpassed all the registration counts of the past decade which has been some around 2 lakh Per year.
- Around 3.29 lakh candidates registered for CAT 2024, marginally higher than last year’s 3.28 lakh. CAT Registration breaks its own record of last year highest no. of registrations.
- The 2023 registrations had jumped 30% in a year — crossing the 3-lakh mark for the first time — but only 2.88 lakh appeared for the test.

Mobile Jammers during CAT 2024 : For the first time ever it is said that mobile phone jammers will be deployed at select exam centres for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 as a security measure.
CAT 2024 is scheduled for Nov 24 and will be held in three sessions.
CAT Exam Admit Card: Candidates who have registered for CAT 2024 can download their admit card which was initiated on Nov 05, 2025 by IIM Calcutta (Indian Institute Of Management– Calcutta) online on its official website on Nov 5th. Every candidate has to carry the physical copy of the admit card to the centre.
