VITEEE 2026: The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has opened registrations for the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) for B Tech admission 2026 to its undergraduate engineering (B. Tech) programmes across all VIT campuses. The entrance exam serves as a gateway to BTech programmes offered at VIT Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and AP campuses, and will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) at designated centres in India and abroad.

VITEEE 2026: Important dates and Exam duration
The VITEEE 2026 exam is tentatively scheduled to take place between April 28 and May 3, 2026. The duration of the test will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates are allowed to appear only once for the exam, and any attempt to take the test more than once will result in the cancellation of candidature and admission.

The exam paper will comprise a total of 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided across five sections. Candidates must choose between the MPCEA (Mathematics-based) or BPCEA (Biology-based) pattern depending on their subject combination in Class 12.
The VITEEE 2026 paper will be available only in English, and the total duration of the test is 150 minutes.
Each correct answer carries four marks, while one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Questions left unattempted or marked for review will receive zero marks. The inclusion of negative marking is an important update for aspirants, encouraging careful selection of answers.

Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be Indian nationals, NRIs, or holders of OCI/PIO cards. Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 1, 2004, are eligible to apply.
- Students appearing for Class 12 or equivalent examinations in 2026 are also eligible, provided they meet the following academic requirements:
- A minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying exam (50% for SC/ST and candidates from J&K, Ladakh, and Northeast India).
- Applicants must have studied in regular, full-time, formal education.
- For Indian nationals, appearing in VITEEE 2026 is mandatory for BTech admissions.

Online Application Form: Candidates can apply online at the official site of VITEEE by 
paying Rs 1350 and register by sharing requisite details .Candidates can then login to fill the application form by entering the email id and the password received at their mail and the contact number. After entering all the required inputs, candidates can submit the application form of VITEEE to generate the application number which must be noted down for future reference. Candidates have to pay the application fee and upload the scanned photograph and signature to complete the process.

VIT B Tech Placement 2024: Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT Vellore) released the B Tech placement for the Batch 2020 – 2024. The highest salary offered is Rs. 88 Lakh per annum and 17 students received salaries above Rs. 50 Lakh per annum. Two students bagged CTC of Rs. 88 Lakh per annum.
