Updated as on 6th December 2025: The Indian Institute of Management Amritsar (IIMAm) successfully hosted the 9th edition of its Annual Operations and Strategy Conclave, Sankshetra’25, at the Hyatt Regency, Amritsar. The event brought together industry leaders, distinguished speakers and students, with some guests joining virtually, for a day of meaningful dialogue on the evolving landscape of operations and strategy. The conclave created a platform for critical reflection on the forces reshaping global business and encouraged participants to engage with ideas that drive long-term organisational value.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr Arun Kaushik, Dean of Administration, IIMAm, Dr Ravishankar Kommu, Chairperson, Students’ Affairs, IIMAm, Dr Harpreet Kaur, Faculty, IIMAm, Dr Pinakhi Suvadarshini, Faculty, IIMAm, and the esteemed panellists. This was followed by an inaugural address delivered by Dr Kaushik, setting the tone for a day of insightful discussions and purposeful learning. Dr Ravishankar and Dr Pinakhi felicitated the guests.
The Operations segment opened with a presentation by the students of IIMAm, Ms Keerthana K and Mr Visagan S, who delivered an analysis of ‘Supply Chain Viability Amid Geopolitical Shifts.’ The presentation showed how modern supply-chain strategy has shifted from crisis response to proactively building resilience, setting the stage for the discussions that followed and reflecting the institute’s focus on industry-aligned learning.
The discussion began with the panel examining how businesses navigate uncertainty while building systems that are resilient, responsive and strategically aligned. It brought together senior industry leaders who offered diverse perspectives shaped by decades of global and domestic experience.
Mr Suresh Kollu, Senior Director, Head of Manufacturing Operations India Grooming, Procter & Gamble, noted that accelerating technological change is reshaping organisational realities, with evolving workforce expectations pushing companies to adapt thoughtfully. Mr Vikash Kumar, Head of Operations & Sports Infra Development, GMR Sports, highlighted how supply chain disruptions have become a permanent feature, with geopolitical shifts, logistical pressures and fast-moving consumer and social media dynamics demanding innovative approaches to safeguard business continuity. Mr Girish Gadamsetty, Director – Business Operations, Adobe, emphasised that India’s emergence as a global technology hub calls for organisations to deepen their digital capabilities, view data as a strategic asset and move beyond traditional support roles to drive core strategic outcomes. Mr Udayan Madathilkovilakam, Senior Vice President & Country Head – India Healthcare Operations, Sagility, noted that the unique complexity of the US healthcare supply chain has intensified cost pressures, making it vital for organisations to support their workforce and adopt technologies such as GenAI to improve efficiency for end users. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session, reflecting on how shifting technologies, geopolitical forces and market expectations are prompting organisations across sectors to strengthen resilience and adopt more adaptive operational strategies.
After a short break, the Strategy session of Sankshetra’25 commenced with a captivating presentation by the students of IIMAm, Ms Siddhi Manglani and Ms Annie Bansal, on the theme ‘Resilience by Design: Crafting Adaptive Strategies for the Next Decade of Disruption,’ explaining that resilience stems from a clear customer ecosystem, strong leadership and governance, with technology and culture working together to enable adaptability.
Ms Ritika Masand, Head of Corporate Strategy, Adfactors PR, delivered the keynote address, underscoring that in a complex world shaped by social and geopolitical forces, strategic leaders must think beyond their organisations and make choices that influence entire ecosystems, with continuous reinvention supported by the discipline that education provides. She concluded that constant disruption demands continuous reinvention, supported by the structure that is provided by education.
The panel discussion commenced with Mr Subrata Sen, Director, Analytics and AI Consulting, Concentrix, who highlighted operational agility and sharper questioning to convert insight into timely action. Mr Prashanth Koduganty, Vice President, Optum, laid emphasis on resilience requiring data-led, sustainable innovation, as the approaches that work today may not be relevant in a shifting environment. Mr Shree Harsha, Business Strategy & Consulting Director, Dassault Systèmes, shared his reflections on how sustainability and ESG alignment must guide corporate, business and operational strategy to balance value, cost and collaboration. The session was summarised with a focus on how strategic clarity and integrated decision-making help organisations navigate volatility and prepare for structural shifts.
The conclave concluded with a renewed appreciation for the strategic clarity and operational resilience needed in an era of constant change.
