B.K. School of Business Management which was established in 1976 as the Business School of Gujarat University, is one of the 
oldest Business School in Gujarat. Initially the School started with an intake of 30 students for its two-year full time MBA programme. Later a part-time MBA programme for serving executives was initiated from 1983 and currently the intake for the same is 60. In the year 2006 the School started a PG Diploma in Port Management Programme with an intake of 35 students. This programme was restructured as an MBA programme in Maritime Management with an intake of 45 students.
At present total intake is 150 (90 in Morning shift & 60 in Evening Shift).In the current year batch, out of 78 students, total 57 students showed willingness to get placements through the institute and remaining students either joined business, applied in Government Jobs or got their jobs from Off -Campus.

According to a published report, Kinjal Desai, Placement Officer of the college, claimed to have achieved 100 % placements for the batch of 2016-18 where in 150 companies contacted and visited the campus, out of which placements happened in 21 companies. The highest package for the batch reported has been Rs. 6.5 lacs per annum and the average package to be Rs. 5 lacs per annum. Students were placed in sectors like Consulting, IT, Banking, Finance, NBFC, Retail, Consumer goods companies, Insurance and semi government/ government companies.
