IIM Calcutta enforces strict quantitative and qualitative boundaries for its executive pool. To qualify for the Class of 2027, applicants must meet the following metrics by March 31, 2027:

Academic Base: A formal Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification under the minimum 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern of education.
Professional Footprint: A minimum of 5 years of full-time post-qualification professional/managerial experience. > Note on Validation: Standard business trips or international workshops do not qualify as foreign experience; full-time overseas roles must be supported by official relocation letters and localized payslips.
Assessment Requirements: A valid GMAT test score taken within 36 months of the application date. IIM Calcutta strictly rejects online or home-edition GMAT scores; only physical, test-center-delivered scores are considered valid. While there is no official minimum score, the historical class average trends comfortably around 696.

The Candidates are initially shortlisted based on their GMAT performance, academic trajectory, a mandatory Statement of Purpose (SOP), and two separate Letters of Recommendation (LORs).

Shortlisted candidates undergo a rigorous Personal Interview (PI) phase. Panels test for analytical command, systemic industry knowledge, and long-term executive viability. Interviews are generally staged across hubs in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, or over secure virtual channels.

MBA Ex Fee Structure: The programme fee sits at ₹33,50,000 (INR 33.50 Lakhs) for the one-year duration, payable across a structured four-installment breakdown starting with a commitment fee of ₹2,00,000 upon accepting the admission offer.
