PGPX Eligibility Criteria

The PGPX is strictly designed for experienced working professionals. To be eligible for the Class of 2027, candidates must fulfill the following parameters by March 31, 2027:

IIM Ahmedabad Welcome PGP 2026–28 batch with 31% women

Academic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 15 years of formal education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4).
Minimum Age: Applicants must be at least 25 years old as of March 31, 2027. There is no upper age limit.
Work Experience: A minimum of 4 years of full-time, post-graduation work experience is mandatory. The recent batch averages around 7.5 years of industry experience.
Test Scores: A valid, test-center-based GMAT or GRE score taken within the last 5 years. Online or take-home versions of these tests are not accepted. The current batch boasts a median GMAT Focus Edition score of 652 (classic GMAT average hovers around 691-693).

Shortlisting & Essay Round
Stage 1 Result
Based on test scores and application quality, shortlisted candidates are announced. They must submit essays on assigned management/personal leadership topics within a strict 48-to-72 hour window.
Personal Interview (PI): Stage 2 Evaluation
Candidates undergo a rigorous interview with a panel of IIMA faculty members. The panel evaluates career progression, professional background, academic readiness, and overall leadership potential.
Final Offer: Admissions Confirmation
The final selection lists are released based on a consolidated score reflecting the applicant’s test results, interview performance, essays, and the diversity of their professional background.
