Priya Jain of Hyderabad, Telangana State won National Championship of the SIP Prodigy, the 15th National Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Competition held in the city this weekend informed Uma Swaminathan – State Head , Telangana and Andhra Pradesh of SIP Academy, the global skill development institution in a press note issued in the city today.
Priya Jain competed with 3750 participants drawn from 22 states from all over India. She emerged as the Champion for the Level 4. She is 8years old studying in 4th standard at Secunderabad Public School.
From both the Telugu States alone 1700 kids participated in the contest. Priya Jain is the lone Medal winner and brought laurels to the state, stated the elated parents Anil and Shilpa Jain.
Out of total 11 categories of Championships Fourth Level Champion was won by Telengana student Priya Jain.
Other Champions include: Oishik Paul, Neelanjana Paul, Anwesha Chawdhury from West Bengal; Krishna R. L, Vivke S both from Kerala; Tawheed Dokadia, Sakshi Boyar, Tanuja Deshmukh, Anushka Gyanchandani, Anuprabha Bansod, Bhavesh Vijaykumar Tandre, Nakshtra Salunke and Bhumi Kamdar from Maharashtra
There was a lot of competition. I prepared for six months for the Championship. Initially I was nervous, but, I got settled in a minute and calculated sums so fast that I could complete 125 sums in just five minutes. I thank everyone who helped me achieve this. I want to go upto Grandmaster Level and win more such championships said Priya Jain.
The Championship Awards were given away by Kelvin Tham, Founder of SIP Academy from Malaysia, Dinesh Victor, MD of SIP Academy India and others.
