FORE School of Management Placement Report 2022
The event was held at the PHD Chamber of Commerce, New Delhi, instead of the campus auditorium and it seemed, no stones were left unturned by FORE School to make up for the past 2 years of pandemic situation when convocations could not be held physically by making this a grand event where students of the past batches were also invited for conferring their degrees.
Presenting the activity report Dr. Jitendra Das, Director, highlighted the milestones achieved for the year 2021-22 and informed about the new initiatives by FORE. Essentially 4 new programmes and courses is to be introduced : Academy of Management Education (FAME), FORE Agro-tech and Rural Management Institute (FARM), FORE Institute of Drone Technology and Research (FIDTR), FORE Institute of Aviation Studies and Technology (FAST).
In his welcome speech Dr. Das told the passing out students that to learn from mistakes, instead of repeating the mistakes, make new mistakes, learn from them and move on. He wished all the post-graduating students success and encouraged them to bring more laurels to FORE, their Alma Mater.
A book titled “Adapting to Business during Covid-19 and other Issues” was also launched during this convocation, which was a compilation of a set of research papers created by students along with faculty members during the period of their summer internships for the year 2020-21. Selected papers were published in the book.
Quoting Kabir’s doha Dr. B.B.L. Madhukar, Chairman at FORE School, urged the students to “embrace gratitude & humility, grow connections and build on networks as it will help in life”.
Mr. Suresh Narayanan, who did his Master’s Degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, in his speech told the students, “As you go forward in life, 5 years from now, certainly 10 years from now, no one is going to ask you where did you do your MBA from. Nobody really cares. What is important is what you have delivered, what you have promised. What you have stood up to.”
Attitude; Agility; Adaptability and Anticipation is what keeps one moving during adversities.
Sharing his perspectives further on the geopolitical uncertainties, he said, “The most important thing in life is the fuel inside you. And the Fuel starts with an ‘A’, which is Attitude. Some of you may be surprised to find that the organizations which you thought to be stable have started to crumble apart. It is not because of poor leadership but because business just got redefined.”
Dr. Vinayshil Gautam, Vice-Chairman while proposing a vote of thanks advised students to be true to themselves in every situation because time will give different lessons from classrooms to real life.
The convocation ceremony was well managed by Team FORE. Dr. Sanghamitra Buddhapriya, Dean Academics, initiated the process of conferring the degrees batch by batch. It has always been a pleasure for us to attend graduation ceremonies, to be part of the historic moments in every student’s life.Thankfully this was not a virtual one and seemed like old normal again. The ceremonial graduation robes in full regalia which we are so accustomed to, were replaced by smarter, leaner and shorter versions, looked good. However, the traditional square graduation hat, especially the jump and throw by the cohorts, were missed.
Earlier, FORE School of Management, released the final Placement report for the PGDM, PGDM IB, PGDM FM & PGDM – BDA (Big Data Analytics) which was one of the best in recent times.
