About Department of Management Studies (DoMS), IIT Madras: The Department of Management Studies (DoMS) was formally established in 2004 as an independent department under the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. However, management education at IIT Madras dates back to 1965 when the institute first initiated management subjects under the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.
