GATE 2026 Answer Key Updates: Following the successful nationwide conclusion of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, candidates are now anticipating the release of the official answer key. Organized by IIT Guwahati, this year’s exam serves as the primary gateway for postgraduate engineering admissions and prestigious PSU recruitment.

The institute is expected to release the provisional answer key soon on the official GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal.
Along with the answer key, candidates’ response sheets will also be uploaded. This will help them compare their marked responses with the official answers and calculate their probable scores before the result is announced.

Objection window after answer key
After the provisional key is released, candidates will get a limited time to raise objections if they find any answer incorrect.
To challenge a question, they will have to:
- Submit supporting documents
- Pay the prescribed fee for each question

IIT Guwahati concluded the GATE 2026 exam. GATE 2026 was conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. As per previous trends, the provisional answer keys for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is usually released about 9–11 days after the last exam, with an average of ~10 days.
For example
- In 2025, the last GATE exam was conducted on Feb 16, 2025 and the provisional answer key was released on Feb 27, 2025, i.e. a gap of 11 days.
- In 2024, while the last GATE exam was conducted on Feb 11, 2024, the provisional answer key was released after 10 days, i.e. on Feb 21, 2024.
