As per the selection procedure, candidates will be selected based on overall performance in the Aptitude Test (AT) and Personal Interview (PI). Any candidate who fails to appear either in the AT or in PT or both shall not be considered for selection.
Question Format and Marking Process:
There will be three sections in the aptitude test which are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based quantitative ability tests, Short Answer Questions (SA) based quantitative ability tests and MCQ-based verbal ability tests. Each question will carry four marks. There will be a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer except for the quantitative ability (SA) section which does not carry any negative marking. Candidates will get 40 minutes for each section and two hours in total.
Eligibility criteria:
Candidates who want to fill out the IPMAT 2024 application form should check the eligibility criteria below.
- Age: Candidate should have been born on or after August 01, 2004 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given i.e. born on or after August 01, 1999).
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023 or appearing in 2024.
- Standard X/SSC or Equivalent: Candidate should have passed standard X/ SSC
IIM Indore Application Procedure:
Eligible candidates should submit their application online during the period , February 14, 2024 to March 26, 2024 and pay the online non-refundable/non-transferable application fee of Rs. 4,130/- (Rupees Four Thousand One Hundred Thirty only, inclusive of GST @18%) / Rs. 2,065/- (Rupees Two Thousand Sixty Five only, inclusive of GST @18% for SC/ST/PwD category candidates).

IIM Selection Procedure:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of overall performance in Aptitude Test (AT) and Personal Interview (PI). Any candidate who fails to appear either in Aptitude Test or in Personal Interview or both shall not be considered for selection.
Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application online as described previously in sl. no. 2 i.e. Application procedure
Stage 2: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be conducted across 36 cities (tentatively) in the country i.e. Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh/ Mohali, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Meerut, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Roorkee, Siliguri, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur, Ujjain, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam. However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the cities/ centres or cancel the centre at any time if the situation so warrants. The date of conducting AT is Thursday, May 23, 2024 (afternoon shift i.e., 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM).
Stage 3: In this stage, the eligible pool for Stage-4 {i.e. Personal Interview (PI)} is created considering only the candidates having positive raw scores and a minimum mark in each of the three sections of Aptitude Test. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be decided by the Admissions Committee. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be based on the categories of applicants. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are rejected at this stage.
Stage 4: Sufficient number of candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI) from the eligible pool for each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PwD) using the merit list generated based on Aptitude Test Score (ATS).
