Banaras Hindu University (BHU) University was formed in the year 1968 as a Department in the Faculty of Commerce by its great founder, Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya. In the year 2015, December Faculty of Management Studies was upgraded to Institute of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University.BHU is ranked 11th in Overall Category and 5th under University Category of NIRF 2023 Rankings.
Eligibility:
Minimum 50% marks in aggregate at the Bachelor degree under 10+2+3 pattern/ a degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or law / a post graduate degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any University/Institution recognized by AIU/AICTE. For SC/ST candidates 45% mark is required.

Admission :
On the basis of the Combined merit of written test (CAT conducted by IIM of the corresponding year)- (50% weightage); Academic Records of the Candidates (20% weightage); Group Discussion and Interview conducted by FMS, BHU (30% Weightage)
Fees : Paid Seat fee: Rs. 1,50,000/- PA Regular Fee.
There is a single application form for MBA and MBA IB programmes. Admission through merit based choice. Admission under Paid Seat Scheme will be made from the same merit list after concluding regular seat admissions from the remaining candidates in the merit list. Candidates are required to appear in CAT of IIM of the corresponding year and appear in GD PI process if shortlisted on the basis of CAT Total Percentile Score.
