JEE Main 2022 phase 1 might be postponed to the February 2022 Exam in view of upcoming assembly elections in five states (Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa & Manipur) or Omicron COVID rise in cases.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon announce JEE Main 2022 Phase 1 Exam dates and it was scheduled to be held in March, April, May, and June. Like last year, JEE Main Exam 2022 was supposed to be conducted four times a year.
Earlier, some student groups and aspiring engineers demanded for having four sessions of the JEE Main 2022 entrance exam just like last year. The NTA will soon announce the JEE Main 2022 exam dates, according to the report. JEE Main 2022 will have other relaxations with regards to exam pattern and the students may have internal choices in the exam. However, just a few days ahead of the JEE Main 2022 notification, some of the college students took to social media platforms to demand the scrapping of the 75% board examination criteria and the provision of 4 attempts just like last year.
JEE Advanced 2022: The IIT Joint Admission Board (JAB) committee has decided to provide special one-time measures regarding the eligibility criteria for candidates who faced hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those who appeared for class 12 in 2020 or 2021 and had successfully registered for JEE (Advanced) 2021 but did not appear can directly appear for the entrance exam in 2022.
