Karnataka KCET Exam

KCET 2021 exam dates have been revised now as per the revised schedule Exam stated from Aug 28. Karnataka Common Entrance Test or KCET 2021 online registrations will commence today, June 15 at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Maths and Biology will be conducted on August 28; Physics and Chemistry will be held on August 29 and Kannada Test will take place on August 30. KCET 2021 application form has been released on June 15 on the official website and the last date to submit the application form is July 10. However, the fee payment link will remain active until July13.

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) to admit Karnataka candidates and the ward/s of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants to full-time professional courses offered by Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided institutions in the State of Karnataka. The full-time courses are:

  • Engineering
  • Technology
  • Architecture
  • Bachelor of Yoga and Naturopathy (BNYS)
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry
  • BSc (Hons) in Agriculture, Sericulture, Horticulture, Forestry, Community Science, Agriculture Maco
  • BTech in Biotechnology, Agriculture Engineering, Food Technology, Dairy Technology
  • BFSc (Fisheries)
  • BPharma
  • DPharma

  • Pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 or equivalent exam
  • Secured 45% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio- Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
  • Studied English as one of the Languages
Architecture course (BArch)
  • Pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 or equivalent exam with 50% in all subjects (45% for reserved category candidates)
  • Obtained 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (45% for reserved category candidates)
  • Studied English as one of the Languages
Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH)
  • Pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 or equivalent exam
  • Obtained minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects. (40% for reserved category candidates)
  • In case of BVSc & AH merit will be prepared based on 50% of Marks secured in CET and 50% of marks scored in the practical test
Naturopathy & Yoga
  • Passed in qualified examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and obtained 50% aggregate (40% for reserved category candidates). Studied English as one of the Languages
Farm Science courses
  • Pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects.
BPharma
  • Pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 or equivalent exam
  • Obtained 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects (40% for reserved category) or Pass in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India with minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category)
2nd Year BPharma
  • Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India with minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category)
DPharma
  • Pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India

Questions will be asked from different subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. Each section will comprise 60 questions. The questions will be of an objective type that is each question will have four options and candidates have to choose the correct one.

One mark will be awarded for each correct answer i.e. each section will carry total 60 marks. Candidates will get 80 minutes each for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology section whereas 60 minutes to solve questions of Kannada language. Candidates must check KCET 2021 exam pattern in detail to understand the structure of the question paper.

KCET 2021 Syllabus

Before starting the preparation for KCET 2021, candidates must check the syllabus to get an understanding of the relevant topics. KCET 2021 syllabus comprises chapters of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology, which are important from an exam perspective. Analyze the topics and select the chapters to prepare first and last. KCET syllabus would help candidates in making a better exam preparation strategy.

KCET 2021 Admit Card: KEA will issue KCET admit card to the eligible candidates only. The admit card will be available online. Candidates will be required their application number and date of birth to download KCET 2021 admit card. The exam authority will not share the admit card through email, post, fax, etc.

Admit card is an important document for appearing in exam hence, candidates should carry it to the exam centre. Without admit card, no candidate will get permission to enter inside the exam hall. KCET admit card will carry the following details – candidate’s name, roll number, date of birth, exam date, exam venue, etc.

KCET 2021 Result: The result will be declared online at the official website. Candidates have to use their login credentials to check the result. KEA will not share KCET 2021 result through any medium other than online. It will have the candidate’s name, roll number, total marks, subject-wise marks, rank, etc. Candidates who will qualify the exam will be called for participating in the counselling procedure.

KCET 2021 Counselling: KCET counselling is an online procedure comprised of different stages such as registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment, etc. Candidates will be called for appearing in KCET 2021 counselling as per their rank. They should carry all the required documents at the counselling venue for verification. Once the counselling is done successfully, candidates will join the class as per the scheduled date.
