Lt Col Prasad S N, has been faculty of Strategy, Leadership, HRM and Performance Management, Materials Management, Equipment Life Cycle Management, Logistics for the PGDM Programmes at SDMIMD, Mysore for almost two decades.
‘Army to Academia’ – Prof. Prasad’s journey has been extremely interesting. His diverse set of knowledge and experience is rare and a boon for the students.
As an Officer in the Indian Army from (1989-09) he Commanded Indian Army Units in High Altitude, Counter Insurgency Areas and took part in the Kargil Operations,1999. He was awarded for innovation and improvisation on SnowMobiles in the Siachen Glacier Sector and won the Chief of Army Staff Medal for technical innovation on SnowMobiles.
He has been an experienced aeronautical engineer for over 8 years+ in the Army Aviation Corps and over 9 yrs+ in Corps of Electronics and Mech Engrs of the Indian Army. He was also the Program In-Charge-Technical Staff Course (Army), DIAT, Pune.

A BE (Mech), ME (Auto), PGDM (SIBM, Pune), he pursued his PhD from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Karnataka in the area of Technical Training with an emphasis on using simulators and technology.
A soft spoken and thorough gentleman Prof. Prasad, is also a Trained mentor and evaluator in the US and European business school accreditation processes. He has been the Deputy Director and Chairperson for SDMIMD Admissions and Quality Assurance of the institutional processes and is the designated Chief Quality Assurance Officer.
His Interest areas being International and National Level institutional/program accreditations, documentation and advising institutions in these aspects; Teaching and Research in Strategy, Leadership, He has special interest in OB, Op Mgt and keeps himself updated.
He has experience, interest and proficiency in interviewing skills, identifying potential.
When he is not taking classes. Prof. Prasad can be found listening to Indian classical or Western music or on a trek in the mountains.

SDMIMD Placements 2023: The placement process for the PGDM 2021-23 batch has been completed. The average pay students have obtained is Rs. 9.8 lakhs and highest being Rs. 13 lakhs.
