According to the institute sources, so far this year 120 companies have come here for campus placement. Multiple companies are still in the phase of recruitment from the campus of which one of the company’s offer is Rs 58 lakh.
So far, 11 have got jobs with an annual package of 53 lakhs. Not only that, a student from Raniganj has got a job opportunity from three big companies Microsoft, Google and Amazon at the same time. Although it is not yet known which company she has chosen for the job. The authorities are happy with the success of Durgapur NIT.

In this regard, NIT Durgapur Director Arvind Choubey said that this educational institution emphasizes on teaching students in a healthy environment. However, the success has come because of the talent of the students and the hard work of the faculty.

According to the institution sources, 174 students are in the final semester of Computer Science. And after giving the exam in the seventh semester, 128 students from this department got jobs. However, they will not be able to join the work until they pass the final semester. Students got jobs with an annual package of Rs. 53 lakh from Microsoft.
Out of the 90 students who have done B.Tech in Electronics, 59 students were already placed and have received offers. Eight students have got the opportunity in Apple.
Several students have also got job opportunities in the Electrical, Mathematics, Chemistry departments. Among other companies, JP Morgan, Texas Instruments etc. have offered jobs with an annual package of Rs 20 lakh to the students. They will initially be given a stipend of Rs 1 lakh 36 thousand per month for six months. Apart from this, various big companies have also come to the doors of this institution.
