NIT Jamshedpur Placements 2024: Students of NIT Jamshedpur (National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur) have achieved outstanding placement results for the 2023-‘24 academic year. In a historic first, Srishti Chirania, a computer science student, has secured a record-breaking package of Rs 1.23 crore from US-based company Rubrik. This surpasses last year’s highest package of Rs 82 lakh per annum.

Institute Director Prof. (Dr.) Gautam Sutradhar and Training and Placement Officer Prof. AK Chaudhary announced that six students had also been placed in multinational software company, Atlassian, at a package of Rs 82 lakh per annum. These students include Tanya Singh (B Tech Computer Science), Apurv Sinha (B Tech Electrical Engineering), Adarsh Kashyap (B Tech Computer Science), Arpit Kumar ( B Tech Electronics and Communication), Shubham Kumar and Rahul Pandey ( B Tech Electrical Engineering).
The institute has achieved a record placement rate of 93.76% this year, with 631 out of 673 B.Tech students being placed. The Metallurgy department saw 100% placement. Additionally, 125 M.Tech and 80 MCA students were placed, with the highest package at Rs 40.33 lakh and the lowest at Rs 8.73 lakh per annum.

NIT Jamshedpur will start evening classes for its PG program from August 12, offering courses in Data Science and Smart Manufacturing under M.Tech, along with nine other programs across seven departments. A new Master in Design course will also be introduced as part of a nationwide initiative including 22 NITs and IITs.
