Eligibility :
For PhD Engineering:

(a) A Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s degree by Research in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record or a five year integrated Masters/ Dual Degree in Engineering/Technology.
(b) A Master’s degree in Sciences with a good academic record and of exceptional merit in the relevant Engineering discipline with a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR-NET or equivalent qualification in the relevant area tenable for the year of registration.
(c) Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology from any Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) or Master’s degree in Sciences (entry through JAM) from any IIT with an exceptionally good academic record in an eligible discipline and a minimum CGPA of 8/10 (7.5 for EWS/OBC-NCL and 7.0 for SC/ST/PwD)
(d) Candidates with five-year integrated BS+MS degree from any CFTI.
For M.S. (Research)
(a) Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s Degree (M.Sc / MCA etc.) in the relevant discipline with a valid GATE score.
(b) Candidates with Associate membership and have passed both part A and part B of examination of professional bodies such as The Institution of Engineers (India) (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical and Electronics/Electronics and communications), The Institute of Electronics and Tele-Communication Engineering with a good academic record and valid GATE score.
(c) Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology from any Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) with an exceptionally good academic record in an eligible discipline and a minimum CGPA of 8/10 (7.5 for EWS/OBC-NCL and 7.0 for SC/ST/PwD)

The application fee is as follows:
- GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL Male candidates : Rs.400.
- GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL Female candidates : Rs.200.
- SC/ST and PwD candidates : Rs.200
Selection Procedure
The selection committee will call eligible candidates based on the minimum eligibility requirements and additional screening criteria for a written test (if any) and interview. Admission offers will be made to the candidates based on the academic record, statement of purpose (if any) and the performance of the candidates in the written test (if any) and interview.
