TISS summer placements: The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai completed the summer placement process for its flagship HRM & LR batch of 2024-26, with a highest stipend of Rs 4.5 lakh for two months. The mean stipend stood at Rs 3.22 lakh for two months, an increase of 14.2% over the previous year, and the median stipend was Rs 3 lakh for two months.
- The average stipend of the top 10% and the top 25% was Rs 4.5 lakh and Rs 4.36 lakh for two months respectively
- The top 50% of the batch received an average stipend of Rs 3.98 lakh for two months.
- Around 92% of the batch received a stipend of Rs 2 Lakhs (for two months) and above.
The process witnessed the participation of regular recruiters like Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Citi, ITC, Marico, Mondelez, Nestlé, Reliance Industries Limited, RPG Group, TAS, Tata Steel etc. 37 companies, of which 11 were first-timers, made offers to the 65 participating students Aditya Birla Group rolled out the highest number of offers followed by Godrej Industries, Accenture, Bajaj Auto, Citi, Reliance Industries.
About TISS: The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 by Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.
