Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 examination for Slot 1 has ended. First examination for different subject combinations was conducted today across the examination centres and the reports are now here. NTA conducted the first ever CUET for UG admissions today at 9:00 AM . The 3.15 hour long paper was conducted in CBT or computer based test mode. Students, based on the subject combinations chosen, had to appear for the examination. Over 8 lakh students are scheduled to appear for the CUET UG 2022 examination being conducted in phase 1. Total of 15 lakh students have registered for the exam, making is one of the largest national level examination, second only to NEET with over 18 lakh students.

The start of the paper might have been riddled with anxiety but the end was not. At the exam centres the students wee confused, not sure as to what really to expect. With only mock papers to go with, students were worried. However, all’s well that ends well.
All Central Universities to Have Four-year UG Courses
Calling the paper as ‘basic’, students have reacted positively to the difficulty level. The questions, many students reported, were from NCERT and were very generic in nature. Many students even compared it to CBSE Term 1 and Term 2 board exam, stating that the difficulty level was at par, if not less. Notably, this year’s CBSE examinations were also called as ‘easier than usual’.
Mrs. Anshu Mital, Principal, MRG School, Rohini shares, “The CUET paper was simple to crack and did not have convoluted or tricky questions which might obfuscate students to make silly errors. The English paper was easy having the traditional passage-based questions and grammar analysis questions. The Math paper also did not invoke any fears and had basic questions which students must have revised for Board exams. The papers were easy to solve and did not extract any laborious efforts from students. They required a sharp presence of mind, common sense and general cognitive abilities.”
Mrs. Sangeeta Hajela, Principal, DPS Indirapuram agreed on the basic analysis. “The CUET paper held in the first slot was majorly based on the NCERT syllabus . The paper was fairly balanced , keeping in mind the different difficulty levels of the students. Most questions were quite direct testing the students mainly on the content. The English paper had some elementary comprehension-based questions and vocabulary questions which required clear understanding of the passage,” she said. CUET Result will be out in next month.
