AIIMS Rishikesh has collaborated with IIT Roorkee and Patanjali Yogpeeth on various research endeavors, the latter to bolster AYUSH research. It has invested considerably in intramural research grants to expand the breadth and depth of research. At current annual enrollment of 125 MBBS, 100 BSc Nursing, nearly 30 MSc Nursing, and more than 700 postgraduate students. Besides running MD/MS, DM/MCh, PDCC, MSc, and Ph.D. courses, AIIMS Rishikesh now runs numerous medical & allied courses. These activities are mentored by nearly 300 faculty members. October 4th 2019, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, officially announced that from 2020 onwards, admissions to the undergraduate medical programmes at AIIMS through NEET UG test.

NEET UG 2022 is scheduled to be held on July 17, even as the demands to postpone the exam continue, the authorities are prepared to hold the biggest entrance exam of the year.
