Amrita Common Aptitude Test 2026 (ACAT 2026 Exam)

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will conduct ACAT (Amrita Common Aptitude Test) for admission to its MBA programs offered at campuses – Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, and Musruru.

ACAT will be conducted across India via Computer Based Test Mode (CBT). ACAT will be held tentatively in January, 2026.

Marks: 3 marks for each correct answer and -1 mark for each incorrect answer.

MBA Eligibility

UG degree (10+2+3 Pattern) recognized by AIU (Association of Indian Universities).
Minimum 60% aggregate in 10th, 12th, and UG for all campuses. Students in their final year can apply with the last completed semester results.
Any one of the valid test scores of Rank in Amrita Common Aptitude Test (ACAT) / CAT / XAT / MAT / CMAT / GMAT / GRE. Candidates appearing for these tests can apply with the test registration number.

Department of Management, Kochi and Amritapuri (Kollam) campuses accept valid KMAT scores.
Students opting for the MS program from the University at Buffalo (offered at the Bengaluru campus) must submit scores from any one of the approved English Proficiency Tests — TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo English Test — on or before September 30, 2026.

A minimum of 50% marks in all semesters is required for admission into the MS program of the University at Buffalo.

MBA Entrance Exam: VITBEE vs ACAT vs IBSAT

Minimum score requirements:

TOEFL: 79 (minimum)
IELTS: 6.0 in each band and 6.5 overall (minimum)
PTE: 50 in each band and 55 overall (minimum)
Duolingo English Test: 120 (minimum)

Scores may be submitted as late as March 2027; however, this would delay admission to the University at Buffalo. Candidates failing to submit the score by this extended deadline will not be eligible for admission to the MS program and, therefore, will not receive the MS degree.

This requirement applies only to the additional MS degree. Failure to submit the English proficiency score will not affect the student’s MBA program. Regardless, students will continue in the MBA program as usual and graduate with an MBA degree.

Students appearing for the final year of their Bachelor’s degree may also apply, provided they complete all examinations and viva-voce (if applicable) by June 30, 2026.
