All these Business Schools – IME IIT Kanpur (Department of Management Sciences at IIT Kanpur), IMT Ghaziabad, DSE Delhi University  and DoMS IIT Roorkee (Department of Management Studies (DoMS) Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee) along with Delhi School of Economics , DU are in the same league and students usually make a comparison of these colleges to pursue their MBA dreams.

Among these prestigious Institutions Delhi School of Economics is the oldest , one of the premier B- School launched in 1949,Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, and the late Sukhamoy Chakravarty, one of the architects of India’s Five Year Plans, have all taught here.

Next was IMT Ghaziabad in 1980, whereas IME (IIT Kanpur) was formed in 1988 and DoMS (IIT Roorkee) much later in 1998. All these Institutions offer MBA with DSE offering MBA HRM and MBA BE , whereas IMT G offers PGDM BFS and PGDM DCP. 

All these Business Schools accept CAT Scores except IMTG which accepts XAT and GMAT scores also. The CAT Cut-off for all these Institutions for MBA courses are the same pegged at 90 %ile.

Considering the Intake Capacity DSE has the lowest with 62 seats followed by 77 for IME (IIT Kanpur) and 90 for DoMS (IIT Roorkee) . IMT G has the highest Intake with 600 seats, In terms of Full -Time Faculty also, IMT heads the list with 75 Full Time Faculty and tops the table in Faculty- Student Ratio, while other 3(three) institutes have a Full Time Faculty between 12 – 20 nos.

In terms of Average Salary  it is Rs 18.0 LPA for IME (IIT Kanpur) and DoMS (IIT Roorkee) and for Rs 17.50 LPA for IMT G and Rs 14.0 LPA for DSE.
