Former Director of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad), Dr. (Prof.) Errol D’Souza, has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of GITAM Deemed University, for Visakhapatnam campus.

Dr. (Prof.) Errol D’Souza, who served as academician and Director at IIM Ahmedabad, was the Professor of Economics and former Director at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM A). Dr. Errol studied Economics and Statistics at the University of Mumbai where he was awarded the Kashinath Trimbak Telang gold medal for obtaining the first rank in his M.A. (Economics) degree. He obtained his Ph.D. as a University Grants Commission National Research Fellow from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

About GITAM University: Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) is a private deemed university located in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
