What is GATE 2027?

- New Paper Added: Robotics and Automation (RA) — A brand‑new paper on Robotics and Automation (RA) has been introduced, bringing the total number of GATE test papers to 30.

GATE 2027 Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Qualification: Candidates in their 3rd year or higher of an undergraduate degree (B.E./B.Tech., B.Arch., B.Sc., B.Pharm., M.Sc., MCA, etc.) or those who have already graduated are eligible.
- Age Limit: No upper age limit.

Mode: Computer‑Based Test (CBT) | Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes) | Total Marks: 100 | Total Questions: 65.
- General Aptitude (GA): 15 marks (common to all papers).
- Engineering Mathematics + Core Subject: 85 marks (where applicable).
- Question Types: MCQ, MSQ and NAT.
- MCQs — 1‑mark and 2‑mark questions with negative marking: 1/3 for 1‑mark and 2/3 for 2‑mark wrong MCQ answers.
- MSQs — Multiple correct options may exist. Partial marking rules apply; no negative marking.
- NATs — Numerical Answer Type questions keyed using a virtual keypad; no negative marking.
