FPM Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the FPM 2026 batch, you must meet the following requirements:
- Academic Qualification: A Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA).
- Alternate Qualification: Professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, or CS with at least 60% aggregate are also accepted.
- Schooling: Minimum 60% aggregate in Class 12.
- Work Experience: While not mandatory for the regular FPM, the Executive FPM (EFPM) requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
FPM Admission & PhD Selection Process
- Entrance Exam: Valid scores from CAT 2025, XAT 2026, GMAT, GRE, or UGC-NET/CSIR-JRF are required. Candidates with these scores may be exempted from GIM’s internal Research Aptitude Test (RAT).
- Application Documents:
- Statement of Purpose (SOP): A detailed document (approx. 3,000 words) explaining your background and goals.
- Research Proposal: A brief outline of the research problem you intend to investigate.
- Letters of Recommendation (LOR): Two LORs are mandatory for the regular FPM.
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a face-to-face (often online) interview to evaluate research aptitude and fit.

Financial Support & Stipend: GIM offers significant financial backing for its full-time FPM scholars:
- Monthly Stipend: Approximately ₹62,000 per month for the duration of the program.
- Contingency Grant: ₹25,000 per annum for four years, plus a one-time grant of ₹50,000 for data collection.
- Conference Support: Up to ₹2,00,000 for national conferences and up to ₹2,50,000 for one international conference.
- Accommodation: Residential scholars are provided with on-campus hostel facilities.
