The batch also reflects strong academic diversity. Among MBA students, 243 come from non-engineering backgrounds and 107 are engineers. The MBA Analytics programme has 74 engineering and 65 non-engineering graduates, creating a multidisciplinary classroom environment.

The incoming batch comprises 350 students in the MBA programme, 139 students in MBA Analytics, and 15 scholars enrolled in the PhD programme. Women account for 125 students, nearly 25 per cent of the total intake.

The MBA Analytics programme has a majority of women, with 83 of the 139 students being female, while the PhD cohort includes 10 women and five men.
Students also bring varied levels of professional experience. In the MBA programme, 280 students are fresh graduates or have less than six months of work experience, while the remaining entrants have between six months and over two years of industry exposure. The MBA (Analytics) cohort includes a larger proportion of experienced professionals, with 60 students having more than two years of work experience.

Inaugural Ceremony
The inaugural session featured guest speaker Sanjeev Krishan, Chairperson of PwC India, who encouraged the new batch to focus on adaptability and continuous learning in a rapidly changing global business landscape.
IIM Kashipur’s Director, Prof. Neeraj Dwivedi, also addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of developing leadership and decision-making skills to thrive in uncertain environments. The institute highlighted that this new session aims to balance rigorous academics with experiential learning and industry exposure to prepare graduates for future leadership roles.
