MAT Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline (B.A., B.Com, B.Sc, B.Tech, BBA, BCA, etc.) from a recognized university.
- Minimum Percentage: There is no minimum marks/percentage requirement to sit for the MAT exam (individual B-schools may maintain their own criteria during final selection).
- Final-Year Students: Candidates in the final year of their undergraduate degree are eligible to apply.
- Age Limit & Attempts: There is no upper age limit and no restriction on the number of attempts.

CAT 2026 Notification Released: IIM Indore Sets Exam Date for Nov 29th
MAT Exam Pattern : The test consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be solved within a total duration of 120 minutes (2 hours).
- Total Sections: 5 (30 questions each)
- Marking: +1 mark for every correct answer; -0.25 negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Composite Score Calculation: Scores are evaluated on a scale of 199 to 801. Only four sections contribute to the composite percentile, while the Economic & Business Environment / GK section is evaluated separately.
