The 6th Edition Of NIRF India Ranking 2021 was released on Sep 09, 2021 by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The NIRF India Ranking parameters and the weighted averages adopted to derive the rankings differ for all the categories. The broad categories adopted to rank the colleges, universities and institutes include Teaching, Learning and Resources; Research and Professional Practice; Graduation Outcomes; Outreach and Inclusivity and Peer Perception.
Top colleges in the NIRF ranking for management category for this year may not once again be very relevant for most of the colleges and continues raising eyebrows on the evaluation process. As of now, NIRF has been at an evolving stage, but after 6 years the process still seems to have a lot of work to be done on credibility and acceptance. One grey area typically has been the Business Schools and stand-alone management institutes which are benchmarked along the ones with ‘university’ tags.
