About MAHE: The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), established in 1953 by Shri T M A Pai, is a private deemed university in Karnataka, India. It started with India’s first private medical school, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), and expanded in 1957 with the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT).
