Record Female Enrollment: “Historically, female representation in our MBA batches hovers between 40% and 50%. However, this year women have surpassed men to comprise 60% of the entire batch—a major milestone that underscores our deep commitment to diversity,” stated Abhijeet Chandra, Chairperson of MBA Admissions at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur.

Curriculum Expansion: Highlighting the business school’s forward-looking approach, VGSoM Dean Rudra Prakash Pradhan announced an expanded academic lineup, featuring new interdisciplinary electives in artificial intelligence (AI), technology management, and data analytics.
Industry Insights on AI: Addressing the batch as Chief Guest, Rahul Suresh Ghali, Associate Director at Accenture, advised students to view AI as a powerful enabler rather than a replacement for human intellect, reminding them that while technology can guide and tutor, it can never substitute for the human mind.
Vinod Gupta School of Management started in 1993 as a unique initiative among the Indian Institutes of Technology. A management school within IIT Kharagpur, VGSoM imbibed the parent Institute’s culture of research and quality teaching.
